Morningstar Living was incorporated in 2012 to expand services for seniors in the Lehigh Valley. As we celebrated our 25th Anniversary at Moravian Hall Square retirement community in 2013, we are ever mindful of our history and grateful to the founders and the staff, many of whom have been here almost from the beginning, who have made Moravian Hall Square the ‘gold standard’ in retirement communities, both in the Lehigh Valley and nationally as an accredited retirement community. We look forward to continuing that excellence in our new endeavors.
The concept of Moravian Hall Square began in the 1970s as a dream in the minds of several visionary and resourceful Moravians. By 1984, a board of directors was assembled and Moravian Hall Square was established under the support of the Eastern District of the Moravian Church. Construction began in 1986 on the original tract of land purchased by the yearly Moravians during the 18th century. In 1988, Moravian Hall Square opened its doors.
Throughout its history, Moravian Hall Square’s affiliation with the Moravian Church has been a constant strength, with Christian values guiding services for individuals of many faith traditions.
Nestled on 15 acres in downtown Nazareth and in the foothills of Pennsylvania’s Blue Mountains, Moravian Hall Square offers a convenient and beautiful setting for retirement living. The town’s offerings – including shops, churches, restaurants, the public library, YMCA, banks and medical office are just a short walk away. This affords frequent interaction between residents and Nazarenes.
A second campus, Heritage Village, only a mile away, is currently under construction to serve a new group of residents who choose a community espousing the same set of values as Moravian Hall Square.
In 2013, Morningstar Living acquired Senior Solutions, a home care agency that has served the Lehigh Valley since 1990.
