Excellence in Care (EIC) Dementia Care Program of Distinction

Morningstar Living is thrilled to announce that Galilee House at Moravian Hall Square has again been awarded the national “Excellence in Care (EIC) Dementia Care Program of Distinction” by the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America. This is a coveted award that is designed to recognize dementia care programs that meet national standards for excellence in the delivery of person-centered care and safety protocols in a memory care setting. Galilee House is one of four sites in the state of Pennsylvania that has received this prestigious recognition.

Galilee House mirrors a “household” setting that provides a peaceful, secure, and supportive environment for residents living there. Specialized dementia caregivers in the household are trained and experienced using a Montessori approach to providing care. The approach includes cognitive exercises, life skills and movement, sensory, music, art, and socialization activities that focus on each person’s needs, interests, and abilities.
